Mary Lou is my grandmother. At 80 years old, she's still so young at heart and quite healthy, I might add. My grandmother and I are very close, and she gets such a kick out of seeing me wear things that she used to wear.


It all started with a couple of beaded purses from the Fifties that I bought several years ago at an antique store. A couple of purses led to a few more with the intention of giving some to my friends. I kept them all! I ended up collecting coats, sweaters and jewelry and, if you know me pretty well, I almost always have something vintage on.

People are always stopping me to ask where I got whatever I am wearing. When I tell them that it’s vintage, they often look a little puzzled, because they can’t just go to a department store and buy it. Since so many people love vintage fashion like I do, and don’t know where to get it, I decided to start buying extra vintage items to share with all my family, friends and their friends. It’s a great venture for me; I love the styles of the 40s, 50s and 60s, and I feel like I’m on a treasure hunt all the time!
